The morning after pill was fine. I’ve been in a serious relationship for a while now, but this was the first time I’ve had a scare like this.
The pharmacy was nice, there was no judgement and everything was done swiftly with no interruptions. I feel like the staff were very professional. This is their job, they know how to act appropriately in these situations, however I was judged by other customers.
I got one glare from a lady in the next counter. This made me ashamed, even though I knew I shouldn’t feel like that. I hate how there is this stigma about taking the pill, like shouldn’t we be in a time where women aren’t shamed for taking responsibility for accidents and other personal issues. Accidents happen whether we like it or not, even when using contraception, so all I can say to others who have to resort to the morning after pill, is that don’t let others make you feel ashamed for doing what’s right for you.
